Crysis

Postby PetMyCarl » 09 Jan 2008, 18:12

Hello,

Has anyone got Crysis?

http://www.ea.com/crysis/home.jsp

I've been following the designs and storyline for a few months now and finally have saved up the money for a good enough computer to play it on Medium/High with a decent frame rate.

Do you think it was worth the wait?
I think it looks incredible and it has won a few awards.

Can you run Crysis? It's a high spec game, lemme know what results you get: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

Thanks, Carl

yeah i have it, found the game rather short but looks amazing had no issues with glitches at all.

running a q6600
4 Gig OCZ ram which i upgraded my self from the geil
with an 8800 ultra

nice spec but id have gotten an 8800 GT rather than GTS now its cheaper and slightly better than the GTS but u may have got ur PC before it cam out.

Crysis runs at round 90% maz settings with a FPS of around 30-50 just so u know its really made for the upcoming 9 series graphics cards

I have Crysis and it runs nice and smooth, but i don't think it's worth buying a new PC for.

It is a good game and online is lots of fun, but then i still prefer counter strike source over it lol.

Suppose it's just personal prefrence.

mates got the game, looks incredible, but he gets a bit of lag on direct x 10 if he puts it on extreme high settings, but none the less it looks awesome :)

Yeah Ive completed it. Was a really good game. I could run it perfectly on medium with:

Q6600
4gb ram
nvidia 8800gts 640mb

I thought this would run it on max everything but the fps was too low for my liking.

Yeah was a great game, ran fine on high but not Ultra (even with my 8800GTX) :p

I had a lot of problems with glitches and stuff, like my nukes not locking on and refusing to fire and some textures not showing up resulting in my falling below the map and dying.

Other than that, a brill game :D

Havnt played in a while, awaiting a pc that can play it well. It was fun online, but I found the single player more fun (didn't have to try shooting at someone with speed ..so annoying) .

Storys good, and that zero-G stuff they advertise is pretty awesome..although made me dizzy. All in all though, pretty sound game just needs abit of fixing here and there
