Edimax Wireless LAN 300Mbps (PCI)

When I am using the internet, why does the wireless network connection status state that my speed is only 54.0mbps and not 300/154mbps which is why I baught this adaptor in the 1st place for fast internet connectivaty please advise why I am having this issue with my internet connection pls

Does your router support 300 MB?

Please also note this is internal bandwidth only unless you are using an internet collection greater than 54 MB it will not make any difference to the speed.
