Power Shutdown

Postby colinfpalmer » 01 Oct 2011, 16:29

My PC has had a power shutdown after 1 hour of mainly internet use this afternoon. The same has happened over the previous two days so I suspect it is the high temperature. As I had power problems, I am nervous of more problems.

Can you suggest any settings changes that I should try and I do not want to avoid the PC on warm days?

Thanks

Hi Colin,

I would suggest using the Asus motherboard CD and installing the system monitor program which will show you the temps.

If you can run that and let me know what it reports.

hello,
i have faced this kind of problem then i had found the problem that was on my processor fan. you can check your processor fan first then you can surely understand what problem is occurring because when the pc is running in the hot temperature then this fan helps to keep the processor cool so if the fan is not working properly then the computer will automatic shut down.
and also you can check your bios setting for fan control.
please let me know about your progress.
